"Lakoca Cuanki" Delicious Instant Snack from Bandung city

In last post i wrote about how the instant food trend being so popular nowdays. This food item, so easy to prepare and store, that's why instant food are perfectly suits the hectic pace of modern life nowdays.  In Indonesia, this trend are also increasingly playing an important role in  day  life. Many large to small food company try to find an inovative idea to make instant food. 

I live in Bandung city for almost 9 years. The people of Bandung are never lack in creativity. Each day, there will be a brand new things invented in this city, including food. Bandung is well known as the source of creative and unique food in Indonesia. You can find a lot of cheap restaurants in Bandung. In Indonesia there is famous snack a meatball culinary, Bandung city also have its own meatball cuisine, which is cuanki. From the name of it, you may guess that it is a Chinese cuisine, but it is not. Cuanki is actually an acronym from Bahasa Indonesia, ‘Cari Uang jalan kaki’, which means ‘makes some money by foot/walking’. That is because these foods are generally sell with a cart or pole carried by the merchant. Cuanki’s concept is similar to meatballs, with beef meatballs and refined processed flour is sprinkled with savory sauce, then sprinkled with chopped celery leaves and the most important is fried dumplings, sometimes it's add by tofu and meatballs too.

As i said earlier,Bandung people are never lack in creativity, yes they are! because now, you don't have wait too long for mamang cuangki ( merchant of cuanki) come to your neighbourhood to enjoy cuanki, because now there is an instant cuanki.

International Halal Food Event Malaysia 2014

Last Week I went to Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia. Since 2004 My Office is an Representative official of Indonesia For "MIHAS".event. We brought Indonesia Exhibitors to join the event, Just like an event organizer i guess, but we only help organized the Indonesian Exhibitors there, from organized them in the event and travel ( Hotel and all The Trip packet). And what MIHAS by the way? Malaysia International Halal Showcase or MIHAS, is an international trade fair focusing on halal , MIHAS attracts a following of loyal visitors and exhibitors and it's held every years since 2004. This Event is usually held on May. MIHAS features a diverse range of Halal Products and services, from food to non-food, personal care, pharmaceuticals and services in finance, logistics and packaging among others. There are 41 companies from Indonesia who joined MIHAS 2014 and the 39 exhibitors were from Food Companies and the other 2 companies from Cosmetics Companies.

MIHAS held in Kuala Lumpur Convetion Centre ( KLCC ) - Malaysia. Besides Indonesia, There are a lot of countries that joined MIHAS, like England, Brussels, Taiwan, Thailand, Korea, Japan, and many more. I'll tell you a secret, when you visit MIHAS someday, you have to come with empty tummy!  Seriously! Because there are more than 500 booths in MIHAS and mostly are Foods booth. Many of them not sold their product because they were looking for buyers not retailers. But don't worry, they provided sample of their product for tester. So, can you imagined? Food testers of 500 different kind of foods? I bet u were already full when you hear it, xixixi

The Event started from 10.00 AM - 07.00 PM. And it was kind so hectic and stressfull hours. Even when the event not started yet. Because we had to woke up earlier and did morning-call the exhibitors and make sure they were not late to came to the venue, and help their set the products up in their booths and make sure they're doing OK during the event and finally when the times was up we helped the exhibitors to tidy up their booth, and i did the same for 5 days during the event, so so tired anyway. Even i had a panda eyes because i was too tired and not even get enough sleeps :( But I glad that i was the part of the team, meet a lot of different people from different countries and also people from different city in Indonesia who joined the MIHAS, I also met Indonesia people who lives in Malaysia. I always feel enthusiastic when meet new people.

I was so busy there and almost had not time to relax, and enjoyed time in KL, even i enjoyed the event with its foods but i wish can enjoy the moment in Kuala Lumpur outside the venue, But i taken a few photos outside the venue when i got back to the hotel.

There are some lil pict whe i was in KL, i wish i had more time, but forget it, i already home now :D But Can you guess which is me? xixi.  I hope next year i'll still part of the team and visit MIHAS. And If you  guys have a time when MIHAS held, especially if you lives in Malaysia, you have to visit MIHAS, and get to know and taste a lot of unique food from different country, It will so fun.
