Instant Food Trends

Contemporary urban lifestyle, fast-paced and frenetic, have led to the evolution of the concept of convenience foods. With time being invaluable to all, "Instant Foods" are increasingly playing an important role in our day-to-day life. Instant Noodle have become one of the world's most popular food items owing to the versatility and convenience. This Product is one of the first ready-to-eat food launched widely in the global food industry and now it has successfully become an important part of modern food consumption.  This food item, so easy to prepare and store, perfectly suits the hectic pace of modern life. It was back in 1958 that the founder of Nissin Food Products, Andō Momofuku, came up with the idea for instant ramen. Since then, the noodles have become a favorite of people around the globe, with production spreading overseas. As of 2011, the annual consumption of instant ramen had reached 98 billion packages (according to the World Instant Noodles Association). South Korea has the highest per-capita consumption (at around 74.1 packages a year), while China and Indonesia consume the greatest amount overall.

First Invention: Chicken Ramen (1958)

In a little shed behind his home in the town of Ikeda, Osaka Prefecture, Momofuku started work on a invention for quickly making  ramen at home by just adding hot water. He worked alone, sleeping only four hours a night and without a day off for an entire year. Chicken Ramen, the product of many trial and error experiments, was dubbed "magic ramen" and became an instant popular sensation.

Second Invention: CUPNOODLES (1971)

On a fact finding trip to America, Momofuku observes supermarket managers breaking up Chicken Ramen noodles, putting them in a cup, pouring in hot water, and then eating them with a fork. It was then that Momofuku realized that moving past conceptions about how we eat was the key to making instant ramen a global food. By bringing together all sorts of wisdom and innovative ideas, CUPNOODLES transformed "made in Japan" instant ramen into a global food.

Cups noodle were the second instant noodle innovation that really took the food trend in the world. Nissin founder Momofuku Ando of Japan decided that a cup would be a really handy way to have instant noodles on the go. His creation came to the market in 1971. Forty-two years later, the instant noodle landscape is filled with many different cup designs and contents – some all inclusive only needing hot water,m and some requiring a little more with packets – and some even with forks! FEW THINGS could seem more mundane than a packet of instant noodles. Dinner of last resort, bought in bulk, ready in minutes, instant noodles are cheap, unremarkable food. As culinary trends come and go, the cup noodle trend endures, : not good for you, but inexpensive and tasty enough.

Third Invention: Space Ramen (2005)

Pursuing his long held dream to invent a ramen that can be eaten in space, Momofuku started work on Space Ramen. Along with applying various techniques for eating in weightless environments, Space Ramen is based on the hot oil instant drying method that Momofuku invented in 1958. With Space Ramen, Momofuku's creative thinking transcended the bounds of earth to contribute to creating food that people can eat even in space.

Nowdays, The current trend of instant food is getting more popular. The trend of life nowadays is very hectic and  harsh, people are all in a hurry. They have no time to cook their food so the making of instant foods was raised in order to compensate hunger even when we are on the run to meeting our requirements, appointments and other matters. Now, not just noodle, even you can enjoy a lot of variety of instant food mixes offered  without much effort. There are many various instant food that you can enjoy. Easy to cook! Easy to eat! and I think there's nothing wrong with instant foods, but  it really depends on how often you eat that stuff. If you have it once in a while, that's perfectly fine. However, if you live off of it, that's a completely different story. So, be wise to choose what food that  you want to eat, guys! and stay healthy!
